What if Dragons were real?

Reading Time

What would you do if they were real, or had been at one point and perhaps were driven to extinction by all those stories you read about knights fighting dragons and such? What then? With our world being so mysterious and animals thought to be extinct popping up randomly from time to time, could a real, living, breathing dragon come to life?
How many of you have ever wondered if dragons truly existed? Or if there were larges lizards that could have caused rise to the dragon myths? And how many of you have sat around hoping to meet a real dragon one day?Well look no further than this image I found some years back taken at some time in 2004.I know what you’re thinking… Is that real? (Well, maybe some of you are thinking it, and some of you are just thinking what a lot of scientists thought when they saw this). No, it isn’t real, but it is possibly the most elaborate hoax in the history of zoological hoaxes from a physical standpoint. Certainly there were hoaxes around Nesse and Big Foot, but none of those hoaxes ever provided something that is as tangible as the image above.
It’s not real, but it certainly got people turning heads when it popped up some time ago. Here is the story!

  1. if they were real, i hope to find one, i would like it if i could make it a “pet”. lol, as if.

  2. If dragons were real(which i think they are)i would make them my friends -n- train dem 2 battle oder dragons…. lolz 🙂

  3. Dragons aren’t real. Big lizards are, but I’m afraid there are no real dragons in this world. Dragonflies are as close as you get.

  4. if dragons were real, wich i also think they are, i would like to find an(abandoned but still warm) egg so i could raise the dragon and train it and stuff

i would really hate dragon slayers
(if they would kill dragons that did nothing wrong)

  5. Also, people only slayed them cuz they thought they were born from the fires of hades or some other stupid reason. Dragons are just misunderstood.

  6. man it would be so awsome 2 find a dragon egg!! i would raise it 2 be my own!!p.s(i hate dragon slayers they should just leave the dragons alone and the dragons wouldnt hurt anything!!!) (the dragons just want some peace!!!)

  7. people slay dragons because of the lust for domination, all most dragons want to do is conquer and rule, so stuff you thought about raising and training a nice dragon, it will end up betraying you and ruling the world

  8. Dragons and Serpents exist but they
resemble us humans so much in body.
    To conclude, religious fanatics made
up these tales and started killing them off. Its sad. A dragon is a symbol of
earth in the humanity eye. That's all.

  9. Well that's all well and fine that you think that mr.S.M.D., but I'm not so sure. Ya so meybe there's no proof but,(go ahead call me insaine, not the first time in my life)maybe they lived/ing where we havent gone yet, read dragon rider by Cornilia Funka, or maybe their wing "bones" were so unsubstantial that they dissolved. Hey it's worth a try:)

Book Review: Start Finishing by Charlie Gilkey (2022)

Sometime near the end of the Spring semester, I decided it was time to take another crack and reorganizing my life. I’ve gone through years of on again / off again burnout, some of it my own fault (I’m disorganized and try to do too much) and some of it a consequence of things about which I have no control (my former university essentially bankrupted itself, forcing me to find a new job in my field, and I’ve since moved twice — the short version). All that burnout and overfilled plate-ism has made it harder to keep up with grading and find the energy to complete tasks on time. So it seemed only logical to use my university library privileges to borrow a variety of recommend productivity and project management books to see what advice, systems, etc. are out there.

A Reading List of Dystopian Fiction and Relevant Texts (Apropos of Nothing in Particular)

Why would someone make a list of important and interesting works of dystopian fiction? Or a suggested reading list of works that are relevant to those dystopian works? There is absolutely no reason other than raw interest. There’s nothing going on to compel this. There is nothing in particular one making such a list would hope you’d learn. The lists below are not an exhaustive list. There are bound to be texts I have forgotten or texts you think folks should read that are not listed. Feel free to make your own list and tell me about it OR leave a comment. I’ll add things I’ve missed! Anywhoodles. Here goes:

Duke’s Best EDM Tracks of 2024

And so it came to pass that I finished up my annual Best of EDM [Insert Year Here] lists. I used to do these on Spotify before switching to Tidal, and I continued doing them on Tidal because I listen to an absurd amount of EDM and like keeping track of the tunes I love the most. Below, you will find a Tidal playlist that should be public. You can listen to the first 50 tracks right here, but the full playlist is available on Tidal proper (which has a free version just like Spotify does). For whatever reason, the embedded playlist breaks the page, and so I’ve opted to link to it here and at the bottom of this post. Embeds are weird. Or you can pull songs into your preferred listening app. It’s up to you. Some caveats before we begin:
